How's your financial and tax health?

The best tax strategies start with a clear diagnosis.

Tax Strategies Aren't Built
on Assumptions

A filed tax return doesn't necessarily mean everything was reported correctly. Books can look complete without accurately reflecting what happened. Payroll can appear current while older tax compliance issues remain unresolved.

Sometimes, everything is exactly as it should be.

I don't know until I look.

Before we can strategize, I want to understand the overall health of your financial and tax foundation.

The Financial & Tax Diagnostic tells us where you stand, what needs attention, and whether you’re ready for proactive tax planning.

A Comprehensive Look at Your Financial & Tax History

Over a defined two-month review cycle - from the first day of one month through the last day of the following month - I make a risk-based review of your financial and tax history including:

  • Up to 5 years of individual tax returns

  • Up to 5 years of business tax returns

  • Up to 5 years of accounting records and financial statements

  • Up to 10 years of payroll tax compliance, where applicable

  • IRS and state tax transcripts, notices, and filing history

  • Other records necessary to understand any material tax and financial issues

This is a risk-based diagnostic review; not an audit or transaction-by-transaction forensic examination.

Requested records and access must be provided before your review cycle begins.

At the End, You'll Know Your Current Situation.

Your Financial & Tax Diagnostic concludes with a written report documenting my findings and recommendations for what should happen next.

  • Key tax, accounting, payroll, and compliance findings

  • Risks and items requiring attention

  • A prioritized corrective-action roadmap

  • Your Tax Planning readiness determination

We'll meet at the end of the Diagnostic to walk through the findings, answer questions about the report, and discuss what happens next.

READY FOR PLANNING
Your financials are strong and ready for tax planning.

CONDITIONAL
Specific matters need to be addressed and decided before
planning.

REMEDIATION REQUIRED
Underlying issues need to be resolved before proactive planning begins.

Any remediation, tax preparation, representation, bookkeeping cleanup, or forensic work, are scoped separately.

What if the biggest tax problem is the one you don't know you have?

Good tax work isn't just about solving problems after they surface. It's about recognizing risks, inconsistencies, and warning signs before they become expensive problems.

I look beyond what's obvious to understand what your tax returns, financial records, and compliance history are actually telling me, so we can address what needs attention before we start planning for what's next.
